the glow of the cobblestone path
below the streetlight lit hours
ago, long ago, before we had met
bustling in crowded streets below
a full moon, below I was led by
the melody of your silent voice
alone, I was alone in the night
shadows, blanketed from sight
shrouded by the enigma of your
mystery, mysteriously luring
the sea to the salt, the salt
(in my veins) and sand, stone
castles in the air guarding–
a challenge inviting–
the candles without wick
to be lit
none could deny–the honor of
becoming, my unbecoming was, I
was, I became,
one of the lights.
I am,
the light of all lights.
